Inspired by Queen Henrietta Maria, wife of Charles I, and their double portrait by Dutch artist Daniel Mytens, in which she passes the King a laurel wreath as “a symbol of their union and a public statement of tenderness and intimacy.” Since antiquity, laurel wreaths have represented victory, honour, poetic achievement and enduring glory.
Handmade in fine silver from the impression of a wax seal stamp, this pendant preserves an ancient emblem of honour and eternity. In Greece and Rome, wreaths crowned victors, poets, rulers and the revered, symbolising triumph, wisdom, remembrance and everlasting life. Their circular form also suggested continuity, unity and the turning of time. Pressed into wax, a wreath might have marked a letter with dignity, achievement or devotion, transforming correspondence into a personal declaration.
Finished with sterling silver findings, each pendant carries the character of the maker’s hand and the enduring beauty of living history itself.
Please note as this piece is handmade every pendant will differ slightly from the images above.
This pendant comes on a beautiful green ribbon which can be worn as a choker necklace. If you would like a silver chain you can add this to your order or if you would like a beaded necklace please check the Beaded Necklace page for more options.

Caring for Your Fine Silver Jewellery
Your fine silver jewellery has been thoughtfully crafted to be treasured for years to come. With time, silver may naturally develop a gentle patina, adding depth and character to each piece.
To preserve its beauty, store your jewellery separately in a soft, dry pouch or lined jewellery box. Keep it away from moisture, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Avoid contact with perfume, cosmetics, hairspray, household products, chlorine and salt water. We recommend removing your jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising or sleeping.
To restore its lustre, polish gently with a soft silver polishing cloth. Please avoid abrasive cleaners, brushes and harsh chemicals, particularly on pieces with delicate or intricate detailing.
Frequent wear can slow down tarnishing, as the natural oils in your skin help protect the metal.
Handle your jewellery with care and it will continue to tell its story for generations.
