Did you know that candles are needier than you first thought? Here is a list of tips and tricks to help you get the best out of your candles.
HOW TO BURN YOUR CANDLE
I. The first time you burn your candle you should allow the wax to melt to the edges of the container to prevent tunnelling which can reduce the burn time.
II. Leave 1cm of wax at the bottom of the container to avoid overheating.
HOW TO CARE FOR WICKS
III. Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings and matches, as debris in the wax can act as a secondary wick, encouraging your candle to burn faster.
EXTINGUISHING YOUR CANDLE
IV. After extinguishing the flame and the wax has cooled straighten and trim the wick to 5mm to ensure a long lasting candle.
CANDLE SAFETY
V. Make sure your candle is placed on a stable and heat-resistant surface
VI. Do not leave a burning candle unattended
VII. Keep out of reach of children and pets
VIII. Keep burning candles away from drafts and flammable materials
IX. Do not burn for periods of longer than four hours
